The leaves are brilliant. I love to take in the scenery during this season. It reminds me though, what is right around the corner. I wish autumn lasted longer. It made me think of how fleeting many things are. We can be on top of our game and then….winter. We can have wealth and then…winter. We can live for any idol other than God and…winter hits! If we live only for these fleeting moments (which are actually gifts from God that we should enjoy, just not live for), we will be devastated when winter hits. With God though, our treasure is forever!
